How many of you suffer from FOMO?
*raises hand*
You know, that feeling where you think there could be something fun, and you don’t want to miss out on that… and the feeling stays with you so you wonder, what if it’s SO cool? what if I don’t get another chance? I don’t want to miss out on this!
For those of you that have no idea what I’m talking about, The FOMO Factory is Austin’s first immersive art pop up. It’s a colorful space with different rooms, inspired by things that we all loved growing up!
It gives you the opportunity to relive those fun memories all over again!
My friends and I went on a Saturday afternoon and had a blast in each of the 7 rooms they had. There was so much to look at, I was trying to play, yet take it all in.
Before you enter, you had to write your high school nickname on a “Hi, My Name Is…” sticker (mine was Tan-Tan…pronounced and named after the Star Wars repto-mammals).
Each room had a different theme - to name a few, there was a cake room, classroom + lockers, grassy lawn, a seesaw! (seriously have you tried riding on a seesaw as an adult? Try it, I dare you! It was so weird… and I was so afraid of getting a cherry-bombed [on accident!] - clearly, I’m still traumatized from it as a child).
It invites you to play like a kid again, and to take your best selfie.
I have to say, my favorite room was at the end, where we indulged in Snapple and got to play in a ball pit that resembled a pool, with a flamingo and everything. (Also, where I lost my phone in and the kind girl that worked there dug it out for me!).
On our way out, we left our stickers on the door as a souvenir so others could enjoy. It was such a fun time and def a cool place to take pictures. I definitely recommend it!
The FOMO Factory is now extended until Dec 30th. Get your tickets today!
